I started developing MailHops in 2011. Version 1 has lasted for 5 years and I figured it was time to update it. I also wanted to build a true SaaS app and try to make enough to pay for the AWS hosting costs. You can see pricing on the new redesigned site, https://www.mailhops.com. Don’t worry though there is always a free 100 message a day limit.
If you can pry yourself away from webmail you can use the MailHops plugin with Thunderbird, Postbox and apparently FossaMail (I’ve been told).
I also wanted realtime traffic blips, analysis and monitoring. Here is a live view of the roughly 200K hits a day MailHops gets.
